CLIENT CDM ADVISOR
Introduction
For any construction works carried out in the UK, the clients of the projects have to fulfil legal duties in accordance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regulations).
CDM Regulations define a client as anyone for whom a construction project is carried out. The CDM Regulations apply to both domestic and non-domestic (i.e. commercial etc) projects.
The client has an overall responsibility for the successful management of the project and is supported by the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor in different phases of the project. For the successful delivery of a project, good working relationship between the duty holders is essential from the start.
CDM Regulations require the clients to ensure that their construction project is set up so that it is carried out from start to finish in a way that adequately controls the risks to the health and safety of those who may be affected.

We are based in Ipswich – Suffolk, we have been providing our CDM Client Advisor services in London, East of England (East Anglia), East Midlands, South East Regions and nationally.
Service Details
Our CDM Client Advisor service is offered in line with and fulfilling the legal requirements of CDM Regulations and includes the following services:
- Ensuring competent appointments of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor
- Ensuring that appointed Principal Designer and Principal Contractor are complying with their duties
- Ensuring that an F10 notification is sent to HSE for notifiable projects
- Provision of Pre-construction Information (PCI)
- Ensuring that an adequate Construction Phase Plan (CPP) is in place
- Preparation of a robust Health and Safety File fulfilling client requirements *
- Provision of health and safety advice on complex projects and situations **
- Dealing with any incidents and accidents on your project **
- Carrying out regular Health and Safety Inspections for your project site(s) **
- Any other specific health and safety related services required by you or your organisation **
* Responsibility for preparation of the health and safety file lies with the Principal Designer and / or Principal Contractor however, this service can be added to our CDM Client Advisor schedule of services, if required.
** Not required under CDM Regulations however, we will be pleased to include these in our schedule of services as required.
